Czech Development Agency established
We would like to inform you about the establishment of the Czech Development Agency (CDA) by a decision of the Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs. CDA has taken up activities of the Czech Development Center which ceased to exist at the end of 2007. The newly established Agency is responsible for supporting implementation of the Czech development cooperation.
Czech Development Agency is mainly responsible for:
- Identification of project ideas in priority countries
- Formulation of projects and contractual documents
- Administrative support for grants of the MFA
- Tendering procedures
- Contracting with suppliers of goods, services and works
- Supporting Czech stakeholders aiming to take part in development cooperation of other donors, esp. the European Commission
- Enhancing capacities of the NGDOs and other ODA stakeholders, including organizing professional trainings
- Generates data for reporting on Czech ODA
